How to check a FAAC unit is covered by supplier warranty.
Look for the serial-number sticker. Every FAAC unit supplied through FE Automation, the authorized FAAC distributor for Singapore, has one on the motor and one on the box. Units without it are parallel imports and are not covered by supplier warranty.
Where is the sticker?
On the motor housing and on the box the unit came in. Check both before the unit is installed.
What does the sticker show?
The model of the operator and its serial number.
What is a parallel import?
A FAAC unit brought into Singapore outside the authorized distributor. Supplier warranty doesn't cover it.
Is my installer's unit covered?
Ask your installer for a unit with the serial-number sticker.
